Experienced professional Service

Canine Actif offers an experienced professional service specializing in small animal physiotherapy (for your pet: dogs, cats and other companion animals).

I am a member of RAMP and IAAT, membership requires compliance with their professional standards including being fully qualified and insured to provide animal physiotherapy and rehabilitation to your pet. Both associations are recognized by most major insurance companies.

Animal physiotherapy treatments can only be carried out under the referral of a veterinary surgeon (The Veterinary Surgeons Act  (Exemptions) Order 2015).

Animal Physiotherapy Consultations

Animal physiotherapists are trained in both manual techniques, such as massage, acupressure, myofascial release, trigger point release, soft tissue work and joint mobilisation, as well as exercises and electrotherapies such as Radiofrequency therapies, laser, ultrasound, electro stimulation and pulsed electromagnetic therapy. These are combined with the aim to promote and speed up recovery to promote good independent function, maintain and prevent secondary preventable complications developing and essentially restore the veterinary patient to good functional status. As an animal physiotherapist I will create a full exercise rehabilitation programme specifically for your animals condition when appropriate, this is to ensure that your pet's body can repair correctly and reduce the incidence of re-injury.
